3 arrivals, a negotiation and 1 injury

What a busy day today at Gávea. For those who didn’t play the whole 90 minutes yesterday, there was training. For the board, there were meetings at Curitiba and Greece. The first one was to try to announce two new players’ transfers, and the other to receive the payment from Souza’s transfer.

This night Flamengo shall announce Vandinho as a new player. There will be a meeting at 18h30 (GMT -3) when Flamengo and Avaí will negotiate and get to an agreement.

One million and growing

We are the first Brazilian team to reach 1.000.000 supporters playing at home this year. In 30 games, 1.051.360 fans went to Maracanã only to watch Flamengo playing. Considering Brazilian numbers, this is a lot of people. Is is 35.045 persons watching Flamengo play on each game.

It’s been 16 years

Maracanã, July 19, 1992. Five years after their latest National League title, Flamengo defeated Botafogo on a 5-2 aggregated (3-0 and 2-2) and became the first brazilian team to reach the title for five times.

We have new clothes!

Yesterday when the team came into the field, lots of peolpe were surprised. A new home kit. Kine surprised everybody announcig just before the game that Flamengo was going to wear a new home kit.

Marcinho out

Yesterday Kleber Leite tried to convince Marcinho and his agent to stay on Gávea. No donut for him. Marcinho announced today that he is not our player anymore. The foward will play for United Arab Emirates’ Al Jazira.
