Boom!
By: André | August 5th, 2008Another loss. We were defeated once again at home. We won only 2 of the last 18 points.
This is not what I expect from Flamengo. This is not what a fan expects from his team. We expect victories, first positions, titles. We need it.
But nothing justifies the fans’ attitude.
This morning, about 30 fans, if we can call them that, showed up on Gávea and started protesting, which almost ended on violence.

The threw a bomb into the training field and the players reacted. Some bomb pieces reached Obina and Dininho. But it was nothing serious. It could have been worst. After that, players and fans talked and brought a end to what seemed to be a hooligan fight.

The fans must understand the team lost the three front men and the board is trying to bring some new faces to Gávea, which may be announced today.
The board is working on Richard Morales and Leandro Gracián and they may be announced today as new players.

The first one is a 6 ft 5 in striker who plays for the Uruguayan Club Nacional de Football. This year he scored twice against us on a Libertadores da América game.

Gracián is almost 26. He is a midfielder who plays for Boca Juniors and is Román’s substitute.
We need players, it is true. But we can handle it with those who we still have on our team. It is not easy, but I know we can.
A victory tomorrow will come to calm.

Flamengo fixed match vs Cruzeiro since they share points last 5 or 6 years. It is sad this that Flamengo is under strong influence of some bookies.
