Marcelinho is here
By: André | August 14th, 2008Today Marcelinho wore the sacred mantle. He was officially presented as a new player and said he is ready to play, but bureaucratic problems will delay his first game. The board affirmed there is a possibility for him to play this Sunday, but even the player knows it is something almost impossible. The coach is not counting with him for this weekend.
About the other players who had a deal with the club but didn’t come because were to scared with the fans violence, he said that a man who was born where he comes from, has to be a real man. Otherwise, is a dead man.
Marcelinho, who already played for Flamengo on 1991 when he was an under-17 player, said that every player dreams about wearing our shirt. He didn’t play more for us when he was young because he had to go back home.
He played 12 games on Wolfsburg’s pre-season and would like to get into the field right on this Sunday but, knowing the bureaucratic problems, he claimed the fans to go to Maracanã next Thursday for the game against the league leaders, Grêmio, when he will be ready to play.
