Vandinho may arrive
By: André | July 28th, 2008This night Flamengo shall announce Vandinho as a new player. There will be a meeting at 18h30 (GMT -3) when Flamengo and Avaí will negotiate and get to an agreement.
Vandinho (Vanderson da Silva Souza) is a 21 year-old striker. He played for Juventus (a Brazilian version of La Vecchia Signora), Paraná, São Paulo, Guaratinguetá and is playing now for Avaí.
He has an amazing goal per match ratio. Playing for Paraná he scored 23 times in 34 games during 2003 and 2004. On 2005, while playing for São Paulo, he scored 3 times playing 8 games. Playing 16 games for Guaratinguetá during the 2007 season, he scored 9 times. This yeas he is one of the top Brazilian scorers. He already scored 27 goals playing 34 times.
There are only two players who scored more then him this season. Kléber Pereira, Santos striker, who scored 29 times, and Palmeiras’s foward Alex Mineira, who may go to Europe on the next weeks and already scored 28 times.
I hope he comes to make the team scoring again.
