Vasco: Hélder, Clebson, Geder (Odvan), Torres and Jorginho Paulista; Fabiano Eller, Paulo Miranda, Pedrinho (Jorginho) and Juninho Paulista; Euller and Viola (Dedé).

Flamengo: Júlio César, Alessandro (Maurinho), Fernando, Juan and Cássio; Leandro Ávila, Rocha, Beto (jorginho) and Petkovic; Reinaldo (Roma) and Edílson.

Goals: Edílson (FLA) 23′, Juninho Paulista (VAS) 40′, Edílson (FLA) 53′, Petkovic (FLA) 88′.

Flamengo won Rio State Championship in the years of 1999, 2000 and 2001, beating Vasco on all these years and becaming a 3 consecutive winner for the fourth time. This year we have the cance to make it happen one more time.
