WE ARE VICTORIOUS

It’s 7:30 am here in Brazil and only now managed to calm down and think about what to write here on the blog. I have even cried … I watched the match on TV, which I think gives me bad luck, and Grêmio soon made the first goal. It was terrible. Very scary. But then I turned on the radio, which I consider a fact that gives me good luck, and Flamengo tied the game.

When the first half ended and the game was 1-1, I feared the worst, since International, one of the other three teams fighting for the title, was winning their match and at that point, leading the championship.

However, after a tough talk in the locker room with our coach Andrade, the players have changed their stance and come to the second half determined to win the game. Therefore, Andrade made some substitutions and the team launched to the attack.

The result everyone knows: Flamengo 2-1 and the title came to Gávea for the sixth time, matching the São Paulo and becoming again the Brazilian club with the largest number of national titles, 17 years after the last time.

Mengão sempre.

No way would Gremio win that match…and give the title to Internacional. I think if they were still winning late on, they would have let Flamengo score :-)
